Pretty Scrappy Recipe Challenge

The requirements for this challenge are fairly simple. Follow the guidelines being as creative as possible using the recipe below. You can incorporate other items into your layout, but you must use at least 6 of the items listed. Since this is the month of Valentine's Day, your special challenge is to incorporate CHOCOLATE into your layout. So, 6 items in the recipe and chocolate!

* 1 ribbon * 1 tree * 1 button * 1 staple  * 2 papers * 1 set of stitching * 1 frame * 1 tag * 1 flower * 1 alpha

Challenge 4 - Maria

I had a job to do and I got the job done! This challenge was so different from anything I have done. We had to make what they called "Trading Cards" I have no idea why anyone would need layouts this size or what they do with them. The examples that were shown were so NOT my cup of tea, so I did what I like, in the size they asked for.

Card one has to be about "the one you love"
here's mine
ADSR5

Card two has to be about your "teammate"
ADSR5

I send Cara some of my Disney pictures so we can have the same theme going. Can't wait to see what she does with this crazy challenge.

Cara's Challenge #3 LO

That darn Maria.. she beat me again!!!  How does she keep doing that?  I found the challenge first, but she got her layout done first.  There's no stopping her.  :)

Maria has the instructions listed below her layout.  Here's mine:

Challenge 3- Maria

Scrappers On line hosted this Challenge

1. One focal photo with selective coloring

3. At least one date element!

Challenge #2 LO !!!

Whew!  I'm rockin' now... back in the grove of scrappin'!  Hooray!!!  Here's my 2nd challenge LO.

Challenge 2 - Maria

This one made me just as crazy as the first one... I haven't done a countdown time layout before.. and to be "creative" about it was hard. I didn't want to do 5 things I love about my son because I do almost all my layouts about him. My cousin Chris suggested I do a layout about why I love sleep! Maybe because I get so very little these days...LOL But I went with the idea from to my friend Liz.

If you'd like to leave me some love, click here

Here are the directions we had to follow
Theme: 5 things I LOVE about....(choose a person, topic, idea, etc. Be Creative!)
Title: use a combination of 5 fonts and/or alphas (example: use 2 different fonts and 3 different alphas)
Photos: use 5 photos, one of the photos must have the number 5 in it!
Use 5 different elements of the same type (example: use 5 different flowers or 5 different buttons, etc.)
Season to taste: add ingredients from your digital pantry to make this layout your own!

Ok Cara... Your 5 things are next!

First Layout, check

Well, here's mine....  darn Maria getting hers done first... what pressure!!!!

and here's what I lifted:

ADSR5 - Challenge 1 - Maria

Well I finished my first challenge. I think I made it harder than it had to be, because I kept changing my mind with what to say. Anyway here it is

This is what I lifted

I can't wait to see what Cara does!

Race Two is here

I saw the directions for challenges #2 last night and I haven't even finished the first one yet! uGhHH! We have until this Sunday to finish these layouts. Cara just got home from a LONG vacation last night... so no rest for her she's going to have to jump right in. So here are the directions for challenge #2 from The Artisan Notebook.

Recipe/Challenge:

Theme: 5 things I LOVE about....(choose a person, topic, idea, etc. Be Creative!)
Title: use a combination of 5 fonts and/or alphas (example: use 2 different fonts and 3 different alphas)
Photos: use 5 photos, one of the photos must have the number 5 in it!
Use 5 different elements of the same type (example: use 5 different flowers or 5 different buttons, etc.)

Season to taste: add ingredients from your digital pantry to make this layout your own!

The first race was posted...

and is as follows:

1) Your layout is about your partner. Introduce your partner to us. How you do this is entirely up to you. You can interview them, you can send them a questionnaire, you can use 5 words that best describe them, you can journal how you met for this race, or if you've been partners for years, you can make your page about a friendship that started with a crazy internet race and has since turned into so much more. The only rule is, the layout is about your partner and you need to tell us something about them.

2) You must include at least one photo of your partner. Large, small, color, b&w, of their face, back of their head, feet, whatever. But it must be a picture of your partner.

3) You must choose one layout from your partner's gallery and scraplift that as the page design for your layout. Only the placement of items is needed. You don't have to lift the colors, theme, etc. Just the overall placement of papers, elements, title and journaling.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I've changed what I was doing about 4 times already! I shouldn't be making it this hard on myself. I hope to work on it tonight!
