Maria's layouts Challenge 5,6, 7 & 8
wow am I behind I haven't posted one of my layouts since challenge 4! Well I've been busy getting famous.. right Cara? ;-) My layout of Cara for Challenge 1 was selected to be in the March 2010 issue of The Artisan Notebook.
Now onto my layouts..Challenge 5 The Candy Man - he's so evil I hate him!
Challenge 6 - 10 things I like about me ((I hated this challenge))
Challenge 8 - The "Someday" Challenge I finished this before challenge 7 so you have to see it first *wink*
Now for Challenge 7 this broke all kinds of records with me. 7 hours planning time and 15 hours design time..My Bucket List
I am also doing March Madness at Scrap Orchard and I just signed up for Survivor at Ginger Scraps.
See if you can figure out who I am at Scrap Orchard, even Cara can't figure it out. I don't know if that's good or bad. I'm one of the first 15 people that posted in Challenge 1 and my secret user name starts with a number, not SO.

Challenge 4 - Maria
I had a job to do and I got the job done! This challenge was so different from anything I have done. We had to make what they called "Trading Cards" I have no idea why anyone would need layouts this size or what they do with them. The examples that were shown were so NOT my cup of tea, so I did what I like, in the size they asked for.
Card one has to be about "the one you love"

I send Cara some of my Disney pictures so we can have the same theme going. Can't wait to see what she does with this crazy challenge.

ADSR5 - Challenge 1 - Maria
Well I finished my first challenge. I think I made it harder than it had to be, because I kept changing my mind with what to say. Anyway here it is

I saw the directions for challenges #2 last night and I haven't even finished the first one yet! uGhHH! We have until this Sunday to finish these layouts. Cara just got home from a LONG vacation last night... so no rest for her she's going to have to jump right in. So here are the directions for challenge #2 from The Artisan Notebook.
Recipe/Challenge:
Theme: 5 things I LOVE about....(choose a person, topic, idea, etc. Be Creative!)
Title: use a combination of 5 fonts and/or alphas (example: use 2 different fonts and 3 different alphas)
Photos: use 5 photos, one of the photos must have the number 5 in it!
Use 5 different elements of the same type (example: use 5 different flowers or 5 different buttons, etc.)
Season to taste: add ingredients from your digital pantry to make this layout your own!

1) Your layout is about your partner. Introduce your partner to us. How you do this is entirely up to you. You can interview them, you can send them a questionnaire, you can use 5 words that best describe them, you can journal how you met for this race, or if you've been partners for years, you can make your page about a friendship that started with a crazy internet race and has since turned into so much more. The only rule is, the layout is about your partner and you need to tell us something about them.
2) You must include at least one photo of your partner. Large, small, color, b&w, of their face, back of their head, feet, whatever. But it must be a picture of your partner.
3) You must choose one layout from your partner's gallery and scraplift that as the page design for your layout. Only the placement of items is needed. You don't have to lift the colors, theme, etc. Just the overall placement of papers, elements, title and journaling.

Hi Racing Fans we're here at the start of the Amazing Digi Scrapping Race 5 what is sure to be an exciting race.
So get ready and grab your partner.
If you have never raced before here is some information
"At Natural Designs in Scrapbooking (NDISB), we’ve come up with a cool internet digital scrapping game that will mirror the excitement of the TV reality show “The Amazing Race.” Teams of two will traverse the digital scrapbooking world, site by site, completing challenges and collecting prizes along the way. Everyone who completes the week’s challenges in the allotted time frame will move on to the next week, where they can collect even MORE prizes! And at the end of the race, everyone who has traveled around the digital scrapbooking world and completed each and every challenge will be entered into a drawing for the GRAND prize!"
You have until Jan 31 to get a partner and enter for the big race.
See you when the racing begins
